MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., August 18, 2025 — Applied Intuition, Inc., the industry leader for vehicle intelligence, today announced the opening of its new Ann Arbor office, deepening its investments in Michigan’s dual-use technology ecosystem and expanding on its long-standing operations in the state.
The Ann Arbor office opening was commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI), both longtime advocates for Michigan’s technological leadership. Michigan remains a pivotal hub for both automotive and defense innovation, a core strategic priority for Applied Intuition.
“As a Michigander, I’m proud to announce the opening of Applied Intuition’s new Ann Arbor office as we build on the state’s long tradition of innovation - especially in vehicle development,” said Qasar Younis, co-founder and CEO of Applied Intuition. “The Great Lakes State invented the modern defense industrial base on the shoulders of automotive titans like Henry Ford and Robert McNamara—and today, Michigan will lead in vehicle intelligence, strengthening our economy and national security. Dual-use technology is in Applied Intuition’s DNA, and we’re excited to deepen our roots here. Thank you to Senator Slotkin as well as the Congressional Michigan Delegation for their strong support of defense innovation.”
“Michigan has always been the engine of innovation in America’s auto industry, and the opening of Applied Intuition’s Ann Arbor office shows that our leadership in innovative new technologies is only growing stronger,” said U.S Senator Elissa Slotkin. “This expansion brings good-paying jobs, cutting-edge vehicle technology, and new opportunities for collaboration across industries. It’s no surprise they are led by someone who grew up in Detroit, and I’m proud to welcome Applied Intuition’s continued investment in Michigan.”
Applied Intuition’s origins in the automotive industry and rapid expansion into defense autonomy have made it a key player in the evolving dual-use ecosystem. The company has operated in Michigan for several years through partnerships with the Big Three automakers — General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis — and its work with the U.S. Army on autonomous platforms.
Applied Intuition plans to invest in local talent and R&D with its Ann Arbor office opening. The expansion follows Applied Intuition’s $600 million Series F funding round in June, which brought the company’s valuation to $15 billion.
The office marks an expansion of Applied Intuition’s presence in Michigan, where it previously had an Ann Arbor office and a smaller Royal Oak office. The larger Ann Arbor facility accommodates the growth of the company.
